PETER J MURRAY WINS AWARD

Mokee Joe Is Coming! was declared Best Shorter Novel at this year's Sheffield Children's Book Awards. The annual ceremony was held at Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre where the book fought off stiff competition to land the top prize in the category.

The award, one of the most prestigious of Children's regional events, has previously been won by JK Rowling and Michael Morpurgo. It is especially significant because it is one of the few awards voted for by children. (See the full results)
