Mr Gum and the Secret Hideout

We all know that Mr Gum, anti-hero extrodinaire of the Andy Stanton penned, Egmont published series of novels is a disgusting old brute...

... But who knew he was so well travelled? Slovart will bring Mr Gum to Slovak speaking children in the Czech Republic with the publication of six of Mr Gum's adeventures. This publication marks a particular milestone for the franchise as it will be the thirtieth language into which Andy Stanton's grotesque creation has been translated.

We can also announce that our Dutch Andy Stanton partner, Uitgeverij Hoogland, will be publishing an edition of The Hound of Lamonic Bibber in the Autumn of 2011. This will be a special promotional edition of the book.

And finally we are delighted to announce that Mr Gum and the Secret Hideout will be published in France by Bayard Jeunesse. With all this travelling one hopes that a little bit of European elegance and civility will rub off on Mr Gum, still as we're at language number thirty and he shows no signs of abating his wicked ways our hopes may well be in vain!
