Katy Carter Wants a Hero

Heat Magazine, out today (April 6) reviewed Katy Carter Wants a Hero: "If you're after a bit of light-hearted spring reading, this paperback original is bound to get you page turning. Katy Carter (as the title suggests) is searching for a hero (aren't we all ever since Boonie Tyler put it down in song) and she thinks the man in question is her ex, James. Having been dumped after an incident with a runaway lobster and a failed dinner party, Katy is determined to win back her man. But is she chasing the wrong man? Is there such a thing as a hero anyway? As the central character, Katy is instantly loveable, not least because she embodies most of us ladies by way of being badly organised and scatty. Plus she eats too much, despite her best intentions, and dreams of an actual proper romance. But unlike most of us mere mortals. She manages to blag a celeb boyfriend along the way - although all is not what it seems. As we all know, love is a complex thing. Join Katy on her quest to bag herself her perfect man - wherever he may be - in this sweet and witty tale. **** "

Heat also made the book No 7 in their hot list.  They said "the likeable Katy takes up Bridget Jones's mantle and runs with it in Ruth Saberton's enjoyable tale of lost love. But will she find true love? Plus, she's a ditzy scatty romantic. Naturally, we love her."

This is Ruth Saberton's first novel in her own name. See Ruth's author page for her Jessica Fox novels.
