Hidden
Leslie Wilson from Armadillo Magazine reviewed Hidden by Miriam Halahmy saying she was "utterly gripped by this novel" and praises Miriam for the fact that "she knows...

...what she's talking about." She continues:

"But never does her knowledge clutter up the book. This is the very best kind of 'issue' fiction, because what pulses through it is the fact that these issues are real, life and death, for Samir and his family and for Mohammed. Alix herself is an engaging character, lively, often funny, utterly human; a true adolescent whose journey I was delighted to share."

"Beautifully and straightforwardly written, it's a novel, finally, about hope, about the fact that though human beings can do horrible things to each other, they can also be humane, can give each other love, support, warmth and understanding and help each other to grow."
