Katy Carter Wants a Hero

...(for it is she) is the writer whose pesky mother-in-law bullied me into reading the manuscript of Ruth's excellent debut novel, Katy Carter Wants a Hero.

I liked it, wrote a (deservedly) glowing review of it which got into the newspapers, and hey presto, its in all good bookshops now.

 

Except it isnt.  After further rave reviews in the press, Katy Carter Wants a Hero is a sellout. Orion, the publishers, have made  extra print runs but the new copies have vanished like snowflakes in the fire. Now everyones buttonholing me to ask where they can get one...
