Andy also talked to The Sun recently "about why books are important and what every parent and teacher should do to encourage children to read: ‘I wrote in one of my Mr Gum books, a good book is like a friend who is made of paper – and to me that sums books up.’"

In addition, The Guardian website recommended Andy's Mr Gum books "for children who like laughing and reading funny books".
