He said: "Having been a judge of this year's Man Booker Prize, I am not short of good books to recommend. Among those that didn't quite make the shortlist, my favourite was A Cupboard Full of Coats by Yvvette Edwards (Oneworld, £12.99). "Jinx, a young woman consumed with guilt and anger since the day, 14 years ago, that her mother was stabbed to death by her violent boyfriend, receives a visit from Lemon, an old friend of her mother's, and soon discovers that he has his secrets, too." Fantastic review Yvvette! |
