| Guardian Prize shortlist for Mr Gum |

 The Guardian Children's Fiction Prize judges have picked Mr Gum and the Biscuit Billionaire for its shortlist of four books. The winner will be announced on 4th October in an awards ceremony in The Guardian Newsroom. In her review in The Guardian, Julia Eccleshare said, 'Andy Stanton's robust humour maintains its pace throughout the book - keeping readers entertained till the last.' The four books are: Mr Gum and the Biscuit Billionaire by Andy Stanton, illustrated by David Tazzyman (Egmont) The Truth Sayer by Sally Prue (Oxford) The Falconer's Knot by Mary Hoffman (Bloomsbury) Findin Violet Park by Jenny Valentine (HarperCollins)
