Sammy is an impetuous little stork who always flies a little too high and a little too fast. Keen to impress his parents on his first day in the family business he fails to look carefully at the parcels before delivering them. A noisy donkey is delivered to the rabbit family, a frisky puppy to a frightened flock of sheep, and the mouse family are given a greedy baby pig, who eats them out of house and home.

Baby number one looked very cosy. Sammy could just see a pink tail poking out from the basket. “Easy peasy,” said Sammy. “Pigs have pink tails!” Without looking under the blanket, he gently picked up the baby and took off in search of Mr and Mrs Pig. Mrs Pig trotted out snorting excitedly. “Oh no!” she oinked. “How can it be? This tiny baby is nothing like me!”
