Gillian is the author of Happy Birthday Santa, The Smallest Hero, and Teddy Bear Scare, all Pinwheel picture books. She is 38, works as a teaching assistant and lives in Yorkshire with her two children. Her story, It's War in the Playground, will be published in Scholastic's anthology WOW! 366 in June 2008.
