Alexander Stobbs

Alex has played the piano since he was three years old. His early love for the music of J.S. Bach developed when he was a chorister in the choir of King's College Cambridge. He won a music scholarship to Eton College, and it was there that he planned and conducted a performance of the Bach Magnificat, seen by many in A Boy Called Alex on Channel 4.

Now at university in Cambridge, Alex has written a book about his next challenge: to conduct Bach's St Matthew Passion with a professional choir and orchestra in aid of cystic fibrosis. This was filmed for the follow-up documentary - Alex, A Passion for Life.

Follow his progress and help Alex to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust on his fundraising website.
