Jim Lusby

Jim Lusby is an Irish-born novelist, short story writer, dramatist and essayist.  A former winner of the Hennessy Literary Award for short stories, he is best known for the series of five crime novels featuring DI Carl McCadden – the first two of which, Making the Cut and Flashback – were adapted by RTE television for a series, and for the thriller Serial, which imagined how a serial killer would tell their own story.  As James Kennedy, he has also written two thrillers, Armed and Dangerous and Silent City.  He has written extensively for Irish radio.  He currently teaches English at the Institute of Education in Dublin and contributes to radio and TV programmes on education.
