Tracey Corderoy was born and grew up in South Wales. She left when she was eighteen and moved to Bath to train to be a teacher.

When her eldest daughter was born, Tracey decided to leave teaching so that she could enjoy spending time at home being a mummy and try to improve her cooking skills. She says she is still trying!

More recently, Tracey has supported children in primary schools where she has implemented specialist literacy programmes and re-integrated children returning to school following periods of long-term illness. It was during this time that she became passionate about writing for children - convinced that language, expressed through wonderful literature, is the key to stimulating learning and imagination.

She now lives in a hidden valley surrounded by sheep, wild deer and cows with big fluffy ears. Along with her husband and two daughters, she shares an ancient cottage with a huge Golden Retriever called Dylan (from Pontypool), several cats, guinea pigs and a teeny mini-lop eared rabbit who makes loud ducky noises.
