Born in 1970 and brought up in the North East of England, I qualified as a primary school teacher in 1992 and embarked on a teaching career which has taken me overseas to Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.

For me as a teacher, sharing books and stories with children is a highlight and it is my enjoyment of this that has led me to write myself. In my spare time I enjoy knitting, cooking and visiting churches and castles.

I live in Cheshire with my husband and young son.
