Rae Earl
Rae Earl was born in Stamford in Lincolnshire in 1971. She escaped in late 1991 to Hull University. Following a very brief stint at Parcel Force in Peterborough she joined one of Britain's biggest commercial radio groups as a copywriter in 1995. After she had become bored with writing adverts that started with the line 'ATTENTION CARPET BUYERS!' Rae made the transition to the broadcasting side of things and spent the next six years presenting a breakfast show. My Fat, Mad Teenage Diary is Rae's first book - not counting 1986's little known classic 'Next door's Persian cat has been run over' - an experimental poem. Rae is currently writing her second book and does a weekend show for the beeb. She never watches the Jeremy Kyle double bill on ITV2 at 1.30 and certainly would not be involved in any gratuitous ebay spending.
