Ruth Saberton

Ruth Saberton

I was born in London back in 1972 but a chance meeting with a stranger while holidaying in Cornwall resulted in my marrying a fisherman and moving to beautiful Polperro.

In between writing novels and short stories I’m also a teacher of Media Studies at Bodmin College. Although people think I must either be incredibly brave or totally insane to teach teenagers, in reality all you need to tame them is a cool pencil case and a pair of funky platform boots.

When I'm not marking books, dicing with death on my horse or indulging my glossy magazine habit I take pot luck at the cash point, pretend to do fitness videos and update my impressive vocabulary of teenage slang.

And I write! Any way and any where that I can. Laptops, kids’ exercise books and even on the back of cereal packets.
