ABOUT RAE EARL

Rae Earl was born in Stamford in Lincolnshire in 1971. She escaped in late 1991 to Hull University. Following a brief stint at Parcel Force in Peterborough where she was yelled at by people in Swindon whose parcels had ended up in Zaire she joined one of Britain's biggest commercial radio groups as a copywriter in 1995.

After six years of writing adverts that started with the line 'ATTENTION CARPET BUYERS!' Rae made the transition to the broadcasting side of things and currently presents a breakfast show in the East Midlands. My Fat Mad Teenage Diaries is Rae's first book - not counting 1986's little known classic 'Next door's Persian cat has been run over' - an experimental poem.
